Contact us Mama Hug is best described as a beautiful collaboration between two forward-thinking mamas; with a passion for postpartum maternal care. Founded by Catherine and Victoria who between them have five children and have experienced birth every which way they can. While Catherine and Victoria were both on maternity leave they began to chat about postpartum and how their babies seemed to get all the gifts, care, and attention. They realised that the focus on them as mothers was sorely lacking. They longed for somebody to gift them a soothing sitz bath, a gentle perineal spray, or even a good nipple cream.
That’s when Mama Hug was born - a premium gift service specializing in postpartum care kits. Everything you’ll find in a Mama Hug box has been selected, tried, and tested- which means it has been approved by the Mama Hug team. Also, most of the products are from small female-led businesses just like Mama Hug.

Mama Hug approached the Belmont Packaging team looking for a packaging solution that would offer that premium gift every mother deserved, but it was also important to protect and keep safe all the products inside the gift box. When creating their packaging solution the Belmont team prioritised the “unboxing experience” as Mama Hug wanted each box to bring joy and relief, so when receiving the care kit it feels like being given a big hug!
A custom, caring hug delivered in a beautiful box.
Mama Hug ordered 1,000 boxes from us and was absolutely thrilled with the results. We produced their packaging in a FEFCO 0427 style in a clay-coated B flute with a white kraft inner paper. Printed two colours inside and out with an additional matte varnish on the outside to give that glossy finish. The design was comforting, premium and highlighted what makes Mama Hug so special.
